I heard about this site a couple months ago from someone i met on an interview and I started visiting it after then, especially in the last couple weeks as i've been waiting for news about when schools are notifying. I finally decided to register and start contributing now since this site has been really helpful and i think this place is a great resource for us. And also because i just finished my undergrad thesis and have a lot more free time (-: I also have a feeling that there are a lot of other people like me, so this thread can be a coming out for all you MD/PhD lurkers, especially those applying this year.

I've probably met a lot of you on the interview road. I stayed with Neuronix while i interviewed at Penn. I met chyln at Penn too and stayed with him when interviewing at Yale. I met Bluntman at UCI. I probably met a lot more of you that i dont know who you post as.

crime: lurking
plea: guilty as charged

Right back at ya and congrats on your UCLA acceptance!! i know how it feels after this long and crazy process. Did you notice how eerily similar our profiles are? whats even stranger is that we were both born on Halloween 😱

LOL...

double major, college honors, australia, rejections at HMS/hopkins/stanford, withdrew at Duke, MD consideration at SD/SF, MSTP consideration at Yale, accepted at UCI/UCLA, halloween bday...

godamn i think we have to have a steel-cage-grudge-match to the death to set the universe straight!

I may as well emerge from the shadows, too. I've found myself addicted to SDN over the last couple of months....does wonders to fill up downtime at work! Thanks for all of the helpful posts, everybody 😀

Most definitely...the schedule seems pretty packed, but it'll be nice to talk to some more faculty, see housing, blah blah blah...oh yeah, and meet future classmates (!!!) Oh yes...much fun will be had.

It sounds like way more fun than the other revists I've been on... I'm especially looking forward to Second City. I love comedy clubs.
