Time it takes to complete pre-reqs

Hello everyone. I just have two quick questions, does it matter how long it takes you to complete your pre-reqs? For example, if I only did 12 hours/semester (Physics 1, Organic 1, Organic 2) would that lessen my chances of gaining entrance into med school? Thanks.

Just to get more involved as far as community service and research goes. I'm taking 16 hours this semester though. I meant afterward. Sorry for the confusion.

Ah, I see. Just try not to get too behind as far as credits go by only taking 12 per semester.

No, as long as you finish all the required classes before you graduate, you should be good. Although taking all the reqs early on so you can sign up for upper level science courses won't hurt you.

Definitely try to take your pre-reqs as early as possible...it makes everything else down the road so much easier. You have the option to take upper level science classes, can study for the MCAT sooner, etc.

His (her?) signature every so often is "M.D. Class of 2018". So not really.
