I would appreciate if someone who's been through the process can give the timeline after ERAS application is sent out.

How soon after the click can you expect to be interviewing? I am currently doing an internship and won't be able to take days off as liberally as I would like to. I plan to submitt my ERAS on sept 1 and desperately working to switch my elective to Jan so I can interview during that time.

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Interview season really ramps up in Oct-Nov through Jan.

Thanks for your reply.

I've written up something about interviewing on my blog that you may find helpful:

Thanks BCMD... Great site!

Hello,

I am interested in people's opinions regarding interview dates.

I can either take off:

Nov 17 to Jan 5 for interviews

or

Dec 15 to Jan 30 for interviews.

Is one better than the other?

Thanks alot!

Nov 17 to Jan 5 would be better I think. Most programs will interview during that time. With the other time frame, some programs don't interview that late into january. I think you'd be safer with the Nov 17 to Jan 5 choice.
