I have a timing issue here. I plan on taking the MCAT in August and have two dates to choose the 15th and the 26. Obviously the latter gives me more time to prepare but I will be sending that score in later. However, I already have an old MCAT score and can send in the AMCAS and get the process started. From a timing perspective which date should I pick?

Go with whatever date you think you'll be prepared by. Especially since you're retaking, you MUST make sure you improve on your old score. Worry about applying after you are comfortable with your MCAT. As I always say, it's better to get a good score and wait a year, then get a bad score that stays with you.

i agree with SN2ed. you should definitely take the test when you feel most prepared for it. GOOD LUCK!
