When titrating I just discovered the versatility of the VM=VM formula ? however I am curious as to whether it is moles or normality ? should we take normality into account if it a polyprotic acid?
Also does anyone have a effective way of remembering titration curves or a link to comparison of the 4 ( I think its 4) different titration varieties.
Thank you

Technically, you should use VN=VN for the complete titration (of all protons).
For polyprotic acids, you are better off considering one proton at a time, because that is how they are removed by titration.

I STRONGLY suggest you look at the BR chapter on titration. It explains titration curves really well. So well, that even though I used to hate titration, now I hope I get titration on my exam. They make it easy, and they break it down into groups of two. Strong versus weak, acid by base versus base by acid, and monoprotic versus polyprotic.
