So, only two and a half days of studying time left, and I'm still wondering if taking the test this Saturday is a good idea. As of now, I'm planning to take it (as I've already paid for it and don't think I could get any money back!), and if I feel like I really did horribly, I will void my scores before I leave...and just consider this a practice test.

But a conversation I had with a friend of mine (who's already accepted into med school for next year) made me wonder... his opinion was that if I will do a good bit better with the summer to study, I should wait. I do plan to have a job this summer, though, so I won't have an infinite amount of time to study...but there are a LOT of things I don't know very well (since I didn't take Kaplan and I wasn't very disciplined in studying on my own).

I have taken practice tests and done well...but I would ideally like to be competitive for some top schools, and I know that having the summer to study would raise my score at least a few points. But then again, I just want this thing over with! Having to think about it this summer would be a HUGE pain!!!

So, any ideas? Thanks!

Hi karen,
I think you might be getting cold feet...ha! Please, take the MCAT if you are getting the scores as you expected on your practice tests. Because you really don't want to study AGAIN in the summer. Your mind will just get sooo tired. But really, I encourage you to go ahead and take the test, if you are happy with your scores on practice tests! Its just a headache to study for it again and being stressed again. One never feels ready to take this horrible test! You will get money back if u decide not to take the test , however, u will get only $100 back; you lose $85.

However, if you feel that you misbubbled a lot and it will just ruin ur score ( I hope that doesn't happen) or if you feel that you did absolutely horrible, then u can always void the test.

Good Luck on your decision!
