Here's how it worked out for me:

Applied: 20 schools
# of schools that asked about misdemeanors: 9
# of schools that didnt ask about misdemeanors: 11

Interview offers: 9
# of invites to schools that asked about misdemeanors: 0
# of invites to schools that did not ask about misdemeanors: 9

Final result: I'm into med school but never got a peep from a school that asked about misdemeanors, criminal history, etc. And btw, my misdemeanor was about as minor as they get.

So... I take it you weren't fornicating with a goat and driving 90 mph in a residential zone while doing a line of blow off a hooker's ass??

Man, I'm screwed. 😳

As an aside, I included a serious misdemeanor on my AMCAS application and applied to fifteen schools. By the end of October, I interviewed at my state school, two top twenty five programs, and was rejected pre-secondary by another top twenty five. I was accepted by my state school and the out-of-state public top twenty five program (1st choice) and withdrew from all others.

I think most programs want to see that you don't have a history of ongoing problems.
