😕
I'm new to this site, which has been very helpful so far. I have some questions after reading some of these forums.
Let me give some info about myself before throwing the questions at all of you:
I'm 20 years old, with approx. 3 years left before graduating with a B.A. in Radiology (MRI) at University of Alabama in Birmingham. I have a fiance doing the same thing, only she will not be going to Med. School. We are currently attending Wallace Community College taking the basic courses and will be transferring to UAB in 2005. (P.S. We will be getting married April 2004)
Now here are the majority of my questions I have at this time:
1) Do you take one loan for all of 4 years of medical school, one loan each year of medical school, or take them as you need them?
2) When does the loan(s) have to be paid off?
3) Are any of you working during medical school? If not, how do you pay for living expenses? If so, how do you balance your studies and work?
4) Can my fiance support both of us for 4 years after we graduate with a B.S. in Radiology if I don't work and only go to Med. School?
5) My soon to be wife wants kids before she hits 30. Is it possible to have a family life and work on your M.D. at the same time?
Any advice and responses are welcome.

P.S. Anyone know of any good scholarships/finacial aid for Alabama Students?
