I did an externship at Toledo back in November. They're a pretty new program, but seem to be getting up to speed. The director, Dr. Nedley is way cool. They get a reasonable number of OR cases and see a reasonable amount of patients. The didactic portion seems up to par. They are a pre-match program - Dr. Nedley says that he waits until applicants have had a chance to go to all their interviews before he offers a position. I seem to remember that a friend of mine last year got a call from them about 3-4 weeks before Match Day? He turned them down to stay in the Match. Anyway, like any new program, it has a few gaps, but I'm sure will only continue to get better each year.
