I’m currently doing clinical reserach at my dream medical school during my gap year and I’m currently applying this cycle. Being my dream/reach school I recognize my stats are below the median and objectively I’m not super competitive. (think have decent ECs tho?) The attending I’m researching under had been super supportive of me writing me a LOE late in September and even directly emailing the med school’s admissions office on my behalf. He also offered to reach out to individuals on the admission committee. I am beyond appreciative of the support but is there a point where it becomes too heavy handed? With thanksgiving day coming up should I just accept/pursue all the help thats offered to me?

I would highly advise against it. This process is super competitive to begin with. Any perception of undue influence is really frowned upon. He already wrote you a letter and that’s all he can and should do.

This. People do annoy Admissions Deans after awhile.
