I was complete at most schools in late October/early November. I still haven't heard back abt interviews, and I'm worried. Is it too late in the game now to get accepted? Should I put my efforts into plan b (retaking the MCAT, reapplying, and getting a fulltime job?)...
3.06 sci, 3.3 cum (from ivy), 27R

I think you will be hearing from some of the schools soon. Remember, there were all those holidays since submitting your app. Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years. I know it is hard to be patient but I think you will be hearing from some of the schools.

Keep your hopes up. I was not complete until the same period for MD and received an interview yesterday. I haven't even been completed for any of my DO selections.

Do you still have you MCAT study material? What was your score ditribution?

I would concentrate my efforts on this application cycle. If you start studying Feb 1st you should get about 10 weeks of studying.

I actually think the MCAT score is fine(if everything is 8+) and you could easily just take some science classes or do some retakes to get the science GPa to 3.3+ and skip all the MCAT stress.

A lot can happen for you this month. Your stats are fine as well as when you were complete. :luck:

I agree. The MCAT is fine for DO. If you want to have plan B, bring up the GPA and shadow a DO or do more volunteer if you don't want to deal with the stresss of MCAT.

did you apply to DO schools..or allo schools..

I think this would be a good plan if you wanted to goto DO school. Re-taking MCAT won't hurt if you can bring up the score.

I think his gpa is more of a concern..compared to the mcat..retake all classes that you got a C in..especially science classes ..since obviously ur scie gpa is relatively low

Several of my classmates didn't interview until February. And they were accepted (obviously).
