Too late to apply to CA schools via Pharmcas?

Hi All,

Just seeking for some advice. Do you think it's too late to apply to CA schools via Pharmcas? Most CA school deadlines are Nov..but taking into consideration how slow Pharmcas is with verifying grades ...is it worth to still apply?

As long as you e-submit your PharmCAS application AND PharmCAS receives your transcripts AND PharmCAS receives your LORs AND the supplementals are postmarked by November 1st, you're good to go! 😳

As long as all your materials are submitted/sent in by the deadline... yes.

CA pharm. schools go by the date you submitted a complete application (LORs, transcripts, supplementals, etc.) not by the date PharmCAS sends out your application. So theoretically, you can e-submit at 11:59 pm EST on the very last day (Nov. 1st) and even though it will take PharmCAS a couple of weeks to calculate your grades, you will still be eligible for this application cycle.

Of course it does help to have your app in early. Especially with the schools that are on rolling admissions. The earlier you apply, the more seats available.

from what I understand, PharmCas has to receive everything by Nov. 1 and schools need to get the supplementals postmarked by Nov. 1. Yeah, PharmCas will take a while to process, but I'm sure that CA schools understand that PharmCas is a little slow (otherwise they would have made the PharmCas deadline a lot sooner). Just give it a shot. Good luck. =)

Thanks for the advice. I am going to proceed forward with the Pharmcas application since it's complete. I just hope i have a chance!!!! =)
