I have a pretty bad GPA sitting around a 2.95 and I took the OAT today and I got a 370/360 (ts/aa) and I was wondering if I should retake it? I only had time to study about 75% of the material covered so I'm confident I can pull a 380 or maybe even a 390. I'd like to get in this cycle to one of the more established schools so another 90 days would but me in November. What do yall think?

I'm not really sure about whether to retake or not but that is an amazing score !!
I would call the schools you are interested in and ask for their opinion !
What did you think of the OAT in general? What review material & practice exams did you use & how did it compare to the actual exam ?

Chem and ochem were Chad's. Physics and bio was kaplan. I bought the destroyer set but didnt really have time to use it. I did the majority of my studying in about 2 weeks so I wasn't able to cover a lot of stuff (only got through about half of ochem). I'm planning on writing a summary over at the OAT discussions later.

Okay thanks ! I'm mainly worried about the bio & qr sections because of the changes the Ada wrote about

I wouldn't waste your money and time on retaking it. Your score is really good and it should off set your gpa. Apply to the schools and see what happens, if you don't get any interviews ask about retaking. I would imagine they would ask you to bring up your gpa rather than retake the oat.

Hi, I was just wondering what the QR section looked like for you with the new changes?

Your scores are really great, can't you try to boost your gpa after you apply?
I mean can't you take some classes this fall, so schools will know that you are trying to improve that as well.

Hey! Your OAT is really really good! I would not bother re-taking the OAT again because your score is great! - I think the best thing to do would be to pull your GPA up- no lower than a 3.0. (which shouldn't be hard at all since you are literally so close to a 3.0 anyhow.)

Those scores are fantastic!!! You don't need to retake it. Even if your GPA is pretty low, your OAT scores can make up for it. You did great. Don't retake it.

Geometry & trig have been taken out of the QR section & have been replaced with quantitative comparison questions.
It's in the 2017 oat guide
I just wanted to come back and say thank you and that I'm so glad I saw your comment on here. I can't believe I almost missed this update and had been preparing for the QR section incorrectly for so long!
