Do the top schools consider non-health work experience at a top notch firm a huge plus for med school applications? I ask because I have the chance to go work for a well-recognized firm before I apply to med school - the downside being I would have to put off taking my premed prerequisites for two years and then taking a year off to do them. Other than this reputable firm, there are no top notch names on my resume. Should I take the job or not?
