Here are some topics I saw in Kaplan's bio review notes but not in EK's:

-microscopy
-chloroplasts
-parthenogenesis
-multiple births
-fetal circulation (completely missing from EK!)
-gestation
-lung capacities and volumes
-anything about the cerebrum other than the fact that it controls higher thought (ie the structures of the forebrain)
-sections of the spinal cord
-genetic linkage
-recombination frequencies
-different types of dominance
-chromosomal abnormalities
-theories of evolution
-evidence of evolution
-modes of natural selection
-speciation
-patterns of evolution (convergent, divergent, parallel)

Sorry there's so many but I know EK bio is supposed to be THE bio review book - is Kaplan totally overkill? Almost all the topics above aren't even mentioned in EK - should I study them?

Thanks!

From what I can see use the Kaplan for genetics (although this has always been recommended). EK does cover that neurolist and some of the genetics/evolution but not adequately - its missing linkage for instance. Genetics and evolution is at the end. They are not in the genetics chapter lol
