I'm going to be visiting Chicago, Cincinnati and Columbus over winter break - I'd love to take a preliminary look several schools - Northwestern, Pritzker, Loyola, OSU, UC - and was wondering if admissions offices A) are cool with letting me poke around and B) will even be open!
I'm not applying until next year, but this is the only time I'll be in vicinity for at least a year (unless I get interviews.)

Has anyone else met with admissions folks or toured schools before applying? Any advice?

I tried to tour UWSOM a couple summers ago, and they said only applicants invited to interview could get a tour.

Each office will have a different attitude about your visit. It's best to call each one. Case and NYU let me visit prior to applying though.
