TOURO CA PRO:
- proximity to support system
- more opportunities for research
- more applicants match within CA

TOURO CA CON:
- outdated facilities
- higher cost of living
- surrounding area (Vallejo)

TOURO NV PRO:
- newer facilities
- lower cost of living
- surrounding area (Henderson)

TOURO NV CON:
- distance from support system
- fewer opportunities for research
- fewer applicants match within CA

SIMILAR:
- grading
- class size
- curriculum
- cost of attendance

INDETERMINATE:
- quality of rotations

SUMMARY: I liked the atmosphere and location of TOURO NV slightly better, but I think TOURO CA is the more logical choice since I want to obtain a residency in California. Any insights or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I would choose CA. I think the proximity and familiarity plus rubbing shoulders with people where you could potentially match during rotations is key for residency placement as a do.
Also closer to support.
Is the cost difference large ?

Thank you for your input. The difference in cost is not substantial (~$3500/year), but that is money that can be used elsewhere.

Interviewed at both. I would choose CA if you want the best chance at matching in California. I liked both schools, however. Rest assured whichever school you choose you will be making the right decision, no regrets.
