How in the world can Zn(OH)2 act as an acid but Fe(OH)2 cannot? Doesn't the common ion effect have a role or should we assume it doesn't because OH acts like a ligand? Also, both Zn and Fe are metals so why does one rxn favor one over the other? They could both be lewis acids, no?
Answer is C.
