Anyone have any experience with this book? We're using it in class right now, but it seems to be more difficult than anything I've used, including TBR. Is this indicative of the real test?
Nah. The TPR ICC passages are designed for use in class, where you have a teacher to guide you through the correct answers. They are a bit harder than the actual exam, but are also great practice for those random passages on exams that seem to come out of nowhere.
Look at them as practice for dealing with stress and as an opportunity to ask questions of the teacher.
I'm right there with you. Every time I do a passage I feel I got an inadequate undergrad education. TPR is a monster, but then again, the MCAT is a monster too. My instructor said ALL the TPR books are designed to be harder than the real deal.
