I find princeton review's strategy quite logical, except
for their ranking strategy.
I think it's kinda stupid to waste time and assess the
difficulty level, especially on the cbt format simply
because it usually takes 3-4 minutes (or perhaps more) of
your time scrolling up and down the screen to find what's easy
what's not !
what do you guys think? does any one think this has helped them
to maximize their score on the cbt? I think this might have helped
only a little on the paper test, not the cbt.

how about Mapping? Or was that the Kaplan strategy? Either way, it is really difficult to incorporate it in the CBT version. It would take about 3 months just to master that strategy

Well-trained TPR verbal teachers know that ranking is inappropriate for most students on the CBT VR section -- it's more effective, for most people with a shot at 9+, simply to skip or skim the longer, more difficult questions, but to attack all of the passages. With that in mind, we no longer advise looking through all the passages before beginning, except for people who are really struggling: most test-takers should be willing to move on from a passage if they're not understanding it, but otherwise should attack it.

Similarly (for GoLA), mapping is now far simpler than it used to be (again, I'm assuming your teacher understands how the CBT necessitates changes in approach).
