6. As development proceeded in the various experiments, what changed in the developing cells?

A. Genetic information which was duplicated with each round of cell division
B. The composition of polypeptides in the cytoplasm and nucleus
C. The cytoskeletal elements involved in forming the mitotic spindle
D. Energy requirements of each cell

Answer is B. I get that there is new genetic expression which will result in production of new polypeptides, but with respect to B, how is the composition of polypeptides in the nucleus changed?

Cells that dont divide as they mature wont have replicatiom machinery in their nucleus? Cells with diff rate of protein synthesis will have diff amount of nucleosome modifiers in the nucleus?

The above is correct; Cells at different stages of development will express different genes, and different genes require different proteins in order to be expressed.
