Transcript Question

Hey All.

I got a question about transcripts...

If my college mailed it out on July 1, should AMCAS have already received it? And should it have been processed. I live on the West Coast, but I'm not sure how long it'd take to get to DC. Any ideaz?

I am wondering about the same thing. Mine went out on the 1st too, but I am from the Midwest so it should take mine less time then yours. They have yet to recieve mine. I even got an email from AMCAS telling me that they don't have them yet. I emailed them back about it last Wed. I wanted to know if I should have my transcripts sent again. They have yet to reply (not very speedy....). This is starting to frustrate me. I may give them a call tomorrow and see what they say. I don't want to get too far behind in this whole thing...

They probably have it, but they haven't had a chance to imput it. I know all of you current applicants are really wired about the whole process. You have to have patience. AMCAS is really slow (and if slow is the only thing they do to your app, you should feel lucky.) Two years ago, the entire application process was over a month behind because of AMCAS.

I had my transcript sent on 6/25 and AMCAS didn't say they had it until 7/9. They say that it takes them up to 10 business days after they physically get it before they register it into the computer. It's a pain in the butt, cause then the 4-6 week waiting period begins, though it seems that everone else but me is getting verified in less than a week 😛
