Just out of curiosity, how many people transfer between medical schools? I know someone who did it from USC to Pritzker. She was married to a grad student there.

Not really anyone transfers. there are few spots that open up at medical schools over the course of four years. it does happen, but the reasoning of marriage might not even be good enough. besides, to transfer to assumedly a better school would be moot at that point. if you are doing well enough to be considered for transfer, then you will get to the same place by succeeding at your current school. grass is always greener....

Then what is good enough?

I believe some of the most legit reasons are marriage or a sick family member, but it is still usually very difficult to transfer
