Despite what they say, at several schools I visited the mean age of MS1 is significantly younger than the more senior classes when they matriculated (actually pointed out by the MS1s), so that there are more students right out of undergrad. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this. perhaps this is a trend?

Hmm...I guess I'd be bucking the trend. I'll be 37 when I'm an MSI this fall....<G>

maybe the M1s you encountered just happened to be fresh undergraduate meat. But really the average age is between 24-26 at many schools.

The average matriculant age has been fairly constant over the last 10 years (according to the AAMC) at just a touch under 24 years of age.
