I received an email reminding me to update my mailing address and other contact info, since "letters will be mailed this week." Since acceptances are by phone, does this mean it's a waitlist or rejection, or is the email just saying update your info in general? Sorry, I know this is kind of anal.

Hi, I just found mine in my spam folder. Check out the Tuft's January decisions thread. A number of us have received this email, so I think it's just a general email asking us to update info and anticipate decisions coming out.

ok i just asked this about vermont...but has anyone recently recieved an interview invite from tufts, or is just too late, and i should just give up hope...

i think i need to take a break from sdn, its making me crazy.....

Yeah, I decided that was the cause, and that Tufts still knows I exist....until someone posted in the other thread that they've been under active consideration for a few months, but got the financial aid forms in the mail last week...Ah, well.

I think this is a generic email and it doesn't mean anything either way. January interviewees are really the first batch of applicants who may have had an address change (some people graduate early from college / go onto new things in the new year). I don't think the official committee meeting is until the last day of the month anyways so I don't even think decisions have been made yet!

I hate being so optimistic in this senario, but....

If its great news, we're looking at Thursday or Friday phone calls?

hey guys, in my experience, the committee meets on the wednesday after the last interview day of the month (1/31 in this case) and i got the call from neumeyer on the next day (thurs 2/1 projected in this case). thats assuming protocol will be the same as for last month. good luck!!!!!!

From what I've gathered from everyone...

• Snail-Mail from a medical school before your interview = REJECTION
• Snail-mail after your interview (without a previous congratulatory phone call or email) = REJECTION
• Telephone calls are always positive
• Emails can be just automated/semi-automated updates and are usually positive.
