Well, actually, I was hoping you would provide the update, any news?

Huh? What are you asking about?

what does the "on hold" letter imply? is it a waitlist? do they have a waitlist seperate from the hold letter group? is one better than the other? I called today and they said that they will send out notification by May 15th, what can we expect? has anyone been actually waitlisted there?

Yes Tufts waitlists many applicants and there've been considerable waitlist movements in past years.

I think "on hold" status (if it's post-interview) means that they want to defer your decision until later.

otter is correct; many applicants placed on hold will be put on the "official" waitlist shortly after May 15. many people are pulled off the waitlist during the summer, as I was (mid-July). please feel free to post here or PM me with any questions about Tufts!

Hi Katie, I just want to thank you for always looking out for those of us who are still in the admissions process. Your posts on Tufts have been really helpful. Tufts is my #1 choice without question (I'm still waiting to hear post-interview), and I may have to bug you with questions down the road. Thanks for your kindness!

If anyone is curious, I called the admissions office and asked when the traditional MD program letters (A/R/Waitlist) will be sent out. She told me the 3rd week of May...I was also told that, based on past experiences, the waitlist moves significantly between May 15 and July 1, but Tufts accepts students up until the first day of class.

Here's what I have to say to tufts:
