Hey everyone...I'd really appreciate some opinions about the following...I've been accepted at both Tufts med and UM med, but am unsure as to where to go. I'm from Miami, but am currently in Gainesville at UF. Having a hard figuring out where to go...what do some of you guys think are the good and bad things about each? Thanks...

Hmm, both schools are decent, but honestly the instate tuition trumps Tufts. Tufts was rated priciest med school by USNews, almost doubling the instate Miami tuition. Also, I haven't heard anything glowing in terms Tufts's financial aid. I know there are other factors one considers when choosing schools (curriculum, location, etc), but downplaying cost as an important factor may cause you pains when you are actually paying that hefty bill.

In closing, congrats on getting into medical school, or multiple ones for that matter. Unless Tufts shows you some financial incentive for attending, you would be hard-pressed to turn down Miami.
