turnaround for mount sinai

can anyone who has gotten in or interviewed at mssm tell me how long i should be waiting post interview for a decision? I interviewed last week and absolutely loved the school. i figure they might be kinda slow since it took them a while to sent out interviews 🙁

any help appreciated. and merry xmas/hannukah/kwanzaa/boxing day 🙂

Unfortunately, there is no hard and fast rule. As you know, Sinai is rolling, but, similar to Emory, they don't send out any rejections or waitlist notifications until the end of their acceptances (March).

I know they sent out a round of acceptances around Thanksgiving and I'm not sure about a 2nd round yet, but I'm making the assumption that it is monthly. I wish I knew more, but this is all they told me when I called and I interviewed back in late September and haven't heard from then since.

Good luck. I loved Sinai as well.

When did you guys have your apps in? I mean im not the most stellar app in the world, but i had it complete since mid october, due to aug mcat and have heard NOTHING from sinai....atleast u had interviews, when were ur apps complete?? ON the upside all hte top schools have managed to send me rejections in a timely manner! maybe this is a good sign!

sinai was pretty slow with my stuff at least. i had sent everything off (secondary, 100 bucks, LORS) to sinai by the middle of august, and didn't get an interview invitation until early november. so, dont lose hope

ramoray - I am also an Aug MCATer so was complete at the same time as you (mid Oct) - I called Sinai a couple of weeks ago and they said I had been "approved" for interview - however, I am still yet to receive the invitation...
