f I go to a community college in New York State what do you think my chances are for transfering to: Fordham University, Rochester University, Syracuse University, Cornell University, and NYU? My stats are:

College GPA: 3.6
Ec's: member of NAACP, Christian Club, College Club.
Volunteer: American Cancer Society(100 hours) with recommendation from head supervisor, American Heart Association(100 hours) with recommendation from head supervisor, Habitat For Humanity(100 hours) recommendation, and Hospital(200 hours) recommendation letter from head supervisor. Library(100 hours) recommendation from head librarian.

My high school stats are not that good had a 2.5 GPA and my ACT score was 21....Had EC's though, I ran track and field and was in high school band and did some community service.

Also I would like to transfer after my sophmore year?
Im a premed major in biology. 😕

If you maintain the GPA then they are pretty good. Several of my friends have done the same thing. You can call up these schools and ask them how you can improve your application. You can ask them if they take into account the highschool grades or ACT/SAT. Also, one of my friend did this. He applied to the school's lesser known colleges. I think it was school of social work, which was less competitive then say CAS, and then transferred. Anyway you have a good chance, do not sweat it, just have a game plan. Most importantly call them up and talk to someone.

Your stats should definitely be competitive to do this. Technically, its what community college is for, to improve your stats from highschool, etc and/or get the first two years done cheaper. I grew up in Rochester and b/c there is a great 2+2 program with Monroe CC, I knew a LOT of people that did this. There are probably even guidance counselors at your school who are there to help you figure it all out. Good luck!
