U of Washington Preliminary MSTP App Essays

Hi all,

For the University of Washington MSTP "Preliminary" Application, they ask some pretty redundant questions that I answered on my AMCAS for MD/PhD programs, such as what's your research experience and why do you want to do an MD/PhD. I recognize I should edit my response to include why I want to do an MD/PhD at the University of Washington, but otherwise, is it okay to recycle large parts of my AMCAS MD/PhD essays for these questions?

Thanks for your help. I've searched extensively but haven't found a clear answer.

That's basically what I did, and I got the 2nd part of the application. For the research stuff I cut apart my AMCAS research essay into individual projects that I listed separately. For the Personal Statement I cut out half of my AMCAS MD/PhD statement and added half a page on why UW specifically.
