UC Irvine interview

hi! i just got off the hold for an interview at UC Irvine! i'm pretty excited about that ...

anyways, i'm flying into LAX though cause orage county airport was too expensive. for people who live in LA, what's the best (and cheapest) way to get to the UC Irvine campus? is there a bus or something of the sort?

Congratulations!!! How did you find out? Did your status page info change? When is your interview?

I have a friend who lives in L.A. I'll ask about how you can get to Irvine.

To be honest there is no quick easy way to get from LAX to UCI (that I am aware of). There is not train, nor is there a bus. You might be forced to rent a car, use one of those expensive LAXpress shuttles. I would call the school and see what they say, they might have an agreement with a local hotel whom runs shuttle buses, or be able to organize something.

Your best bet is to look into flying into SNA, there can be some cheaper flights. But really get from LAX to UCI is not going to be much cheaper if any at all.

rent a car- irvine (the city) is not mass transit friendly.
rent a car- take the 405 south to 73 south (73 is a toll road but toll doesn't start till after your exit)
exit bison- make a left, in about 1/2 mile you will see signs on where to park.
it will take about an hour (however if you come during rush hour 1.5 to 2 hours) - i work at uci - i will wave at you😉
