This might be a stupid question, but when is the deadline for the UCI secondary? I'm assuming it's 1 month after you receive it but couldn't find any info in their materials.

It is 30 days from the time you are informed (via email) that you have received a secondary application from UCI.

i know they should have gotten them by now, and wondering if they're just slow on updating that info.

Not mine but I am still finishing up my secondary application. Maybe it just takes them some time like Keck (USC)!

I had my letters sent to UCI on the 18th of August, and I still have not seen my status changed to letters of rec received. I guess they're probably really busy. I hope we're not the only ones with this situation.

Ya, same here, no lor received. Also, how long after you mailed your app did website say it was recieved?

I think mine changed within 5 days of sending out my application.

there is a one month deadline. it says so somewhere, i think in their email, not on the application itself. i mailed mine from another location in california about a week before it was due (so it should've only taken 2 days max to get there). It was finally marked received yesterday, 3 days after the deadline! and i know it didn't take a week and a half to get there. so i think the date on your status page is not the actual receipt date, but rather the date they put your app into the system. i gave them a call because i was concerned that it was marked received after the deadline, and they said not to worry about it. so my point is, i don't know how strict that one month deadline is (though i wouldn't recommend intentionally sending it in late!)

The same exact thing happened to me. I sent it in last week, the deadline was 8/30 but it was marked as being received on 9/2. I think the labor day weekend had something to do with it, but I do think updating the status page can take a few days.

I called the admissions office today. They said that they've been busy with the orientation for the new med students and that they are just now starting to match the LOR's to applicant files.

The email I received did not specify a due date and their website says that "It is in your best interest to submit all requested materials within one month in order to prevent delays that may affect your candidacy." So, I wouldn't stress too much if your app isn't verified exactly one month after the email.

I sent my secondary about a month ago and on the online status page, it hasn't been received. Has anyone else run into this problem? I'm wondering if I should call them up...

Oh my god I never even saw that there was a deadline. I'm such a doofus. I should have had it in by August 29!!!

Hopefully the "in my best interest" does not mean I'm out of the running cause I'm a week or so late...

I've been complete at UCI on the status page since 8/13/03 and nothing has happened yet so don't sweat it.

But is anyone in the world complete at USC?

Dr. Kevin: I'm not complete at USC either. how long after your application was complete did you start getting interview invites?

At some schools, I got interview invites within a week or two (NYMC, GW, Einstein). I don't have any invites from UCs even though all my apps are complete, and as far as I can tell no one else does either so don't sweat it. I'm not getting too excited about going to a UC, so I just forgot about those for awhile. As far as USC goes, I'd like to think I have a better chance there but there is no sign of life or mail processing in any way shape or form so it could take awhile to hear anything.

Finshed my UCI secondary today. Off to the post office later to mail them once I get some more passport sized photos taken of me. Hope everyone is doing well. Time to work on other secondary applications!!!! Good luck everyone!!!

The first batches of interviews will go out pretty soon. As far as your page being updated, sometimes it takes a long time to do that and your fee update might never get changed.
