So, like, if I got accepted to all of the schools (which I am not) which one has the best program and why? Which one is mo bettah that the others in terms of cribs, grinds, and crashes?

I left out ucsf and ucd because NorCal SUCKS!!!
You can keep your rain and green vegetation and cold and software and boring nightlife.

I did not have a good interview at UCLA, so I probably would go to San Diego.

As you probably already know, UCI is not ranked even close to the other two schools nationally. There probably have not been too many indivuals who have spurned UCLA or UCSD and attended UCI. (That is not to say it hasn't happened or that the person would be crazy if they did.)

In my opinion UCLA is a better school. And, more importantly, it has a much more laid back atmosphere. I would much prefer it over SD for this reason alone. I've already had enough stress, as an undergrad  Though, you can't really make a bad choice here.

Good luck,

Adam

Okay here is my .02 but be warned, I am extremely biased!!!

UCLA is much better than UCSD because it has a top notch reputation, best hospital in the west, inexpensive (for cali residents), pass/no pass, and the atmosphere at UCLA is incredibly relaxed. Rumors of UCSDs intense nature are somewhat true--you will definitely be working much harder than your friends at other schools. UCLA students rock the USMLE and have a distinct advantage at UCLA residency programs. If you want to work in Cali in the future, an MD from UCLA will take you very far. Westwood is the quintessential college town with stores/restaurants open late and a good variety of food at decent prices.

UCLA is WAY better than UCI. UCI is a good school, but it is way behind the other UC schools as far as repuation/matches. Irvine is a *nice* and safe city, but there isn't much of a nightlife.

CRIBS: UCLA is expensive, as is most other cities, but you can find a nice place for $800/mo in Santa Monica. Housing at UCSD and UCI are on par as far as prices are concerned but are probably better quaity since those areas are "newer".

GRINDS: UCLA - sorry can't beat LA food.

CRASHES: UCLA - Sunset Blvd.

My $0.2, last year our tour guide (who seemed quite awesome actually) during interviews explained how she gotten into the aforementioned schools, UCLA, UCSD, and wailisted at UCI. She turned down UCLA and UCSD for UCI. She listed a lot of reasons, but she seemed happy with her decision.

What was she thinking? Who knows, I think the general consensus would be to go for UCLA or UCSD at the least!
