I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for getting to UCONN without driving. It doesn''t seem like there is much public transportation in the area and despite the fact that I live in NY (and could potentially drive) I am a bit car challenged at the moment. 🙄

What LizzyM said, or take a cab - it'll run you the extra dollars, but you'll still be way under what it would've cost you to fly anywhere. Also, if you're being cost conscience - the bus (greyhound, peter pan, bonanza) is a cheaper alternative to the train (about $50) and drops you off at the same exact stop. Buses from NYC leave from port authority, gate 83, done it plenty of times myself.

If you are doing an MD/PhD program, I wouldn't bother going to UConn since you seem to have been accepted to Pritzker already. Save yourself the money and hassle of traveling to CT just to interview at a school that perpetuates a political agenda in order to stay out of debt and contributes to the decline in the quality of healthcare in CT.

yikes VPDcurt - wanna explain that statement a bit more?

Thanks LizzyM that's exactly the info I needed!

As for why I am going to UConn- my Pritzker acceptance is MD, my UConn interview is MD/PHD. I also want to see/visit all the programs I am interested in before making decisions. I find the intrview day has really changed my thoughts about some schools.
