Both seem like great schools. I do want to go into radiology.
I love what loyola has to offer such as it being a community-oriented based school and having many hospitals associated with it, but I don't have family out in the midwest. However, I lived in so-cal my whole life and I have a ton of family here, but I'm not interested in primary care, as riverside pushes for. What's important to you? Do you have a Pros & Cons list ? See typical format.
All schools prepare you the same for step (step score is pretty individual effort based), it's just a matter of how much extra work they give you to take up your studying time.I love what loyola has to offer such as it being a community-oriented based school and having many hospitals associated with it, but I don't have family out in the midwest. I also really want a school that prep wells for step exams
Having a home program where you can do research in, rotate thru, and who's attendings are probably lecturers/advisors for your school = you have a huge leg up in the match for your home program unless you actually piss people off. Your home program might not be the best in nation or even one you would rank highly, but having that there as an option vs not is perferredCan you elaborate more on How having a home program is amazing if I want something competitive![]()
