UCSD- must include a non-science LOR???

just wondering if any UCSD ppl here... i checked their website and they said they require one non-sci faculty letter.
I'm a jc transfer student and took only 1 non-sci class at my 4-yr college. (and that professor has already refused to write me a letter....)
so what are my chances if i submit all sci letters? are they really strict about the non-sci one? i'm pretty sure i'll have strong sci letters....i don't want to ask a LOR from my professors in jc....
