starting this thread for my friends

I think that UCSF probably postponed this. Let's be patient.

hi guys i got accepted in both uop and ucsf. i am happy iam confused .pls suggest me .both schools are excelent which should i choice :confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

its a very tough call, both are really good schools. I would go to whichever is less expensive. Good Luck!!!

Hi.I dont think they send out rejection letters.Only the acceptance letters.And they send out all the acceptance letters today itself right?
 
Guess people who haven't got the acceptance email will get rejection letter tomorrow or later.
 
Yippie I am too in the list. Congrats to all those who made it. We all are going to be batch mates now. I really feel on the top of this world. I am so happy :) :)

thanks dentalspa really apart from expense which school :confused::confused:uop of has more intense program but ucsf has name and post graduations. i hope other must be others in my boat .i seriously need u guys help .pls suggest:confused::confused::confused:

San Antonio is a good choice as living expenses are less and it is a great program....But if you wanna be in SF then UCSF...depends on your preference...what is more important for you saving money or city life.. Accordingly you should choose between UCSF and texas..Hope it helps..

I think..u should consider ur future interest also before selecting the school..like..r u more interested in general dentistry or in a speciality practice..if its general dentistry..then UoP would be a much better choice over others.

If that is the case, you should be asking yourself where you want to see yourself? A Gen. Dentist or a Specialist? Trust me, there are more intense programs. Ask the students from NYU...they can go on & on......
 
Hey elixir..

definately go with UCSF, i have freinds there and they are so proud to be in the top dental school of north california, and ofcourse lot cheaper than UOP.. If I was you I would pick UCSF..unfortunately I didnt even get interview from UCSF..Lucky U :)) dont miss the chance
 
Anybody in the alternate list ? (if there is an alternate list - as in, waiting list).
Do they send rejection emails as well ?
 
Hey I dont think anyone has got an email regarding the alternate list.I dont know if they are going to send one.No rejection letters too.

to me i would go with UCSF because SF is a better place to live in, u dont need a car and it's more comfortable for a students there is no L.A. traffic, in addition the clinical exposure is better in ucsf. i met couple of students studying inucla, one of them told me that they dont do root canal treatment in their 1st year but might have the chance to do some in 2nd year because all the cases go to endo residents!!! it is just my opinion and good luck in what ever u choose :):)

It's very difficult to recognize you folks by seeing your SDN names :D, but m happy for all. Have a great journey ahead, wishing everyone all the very best with future endeavors.

Well Both are part of UC system. No doubt UCSF would be much better choice as your self you can make differance by comparing interview procedure and facilitied given at both the places..:)
