It should be. The past two months they were a bit late, so I wouldn't be surprized if they don't mail anything out until the 20th or so.

I interviewed at the end of January. I am PRAYING that I am in this batch. Otherwise, I'm in the April pile (most likely there will be fewer acceptances in the April pile).

Thanks for calling mw. I'm on the east coast this year, so it looks like I'll be waiting until friday or saturday. I hope I'm in this pile! It puts me right at 6 weeks. Getting into my absolute number 1 choice would just be too amazing! I wish you all the best of luck as well.

alright everyone, i just called the admissions office and spoke with the very sweet valerie.

here is what she told me...

letters will be sent mid-next week. I asked her if I interviewed at the end of January, is there a good chance I'll be included in this batch? She said yes, but then said that very few people have heard before 8 weeks. Then she told me not to worry b/c they are nowhere near sending out all of their acceptances. I prodded and probed. She said that around 90 have been sent so far. Then went on to tell me not to worry if I'm in the april batch b/c acceptances will be sent out in April and May, and maybe even June. I asked her how many straight out acceptances are sent. She told me around 190!! but ultimately 230-240 are granted acceptances. So, there are another 100 or so acceptances to be sent so far! That is 1/5 of the applicants..I was pretty surprised by all of this. I figured it was definitely worth sharing. I hope that alleviated some of our concerns.

thanks for calling souljah! that was really good news.... i interviewed early february and UCSF is one of my 2 top choices... i was worried when i heard that most of the acceptances were sent in march! maybe there is hope for us all? (even for an east-coaster like me?)

You are really great souljah! I am still waiting to hear if they want an interview. AMCAS delays and mononucleosis made me apply very, very late....BUT my supervisor is on the admissions committee and I am hoping (praying) that he will advocate for me if I get an interview. They have a very fair point system for reviewing those thousands of primaries and secondaries, and then everyone sits down to discuss people who've interviewed.

It's great news that acceptances will still be sent out for at least the next couple of months. Maybe I still have a chance!

Nope. Still waiting patiently/anxiously. I have a feeling I might have to wait until april if I am to receive good news. If you scroll up you'll see the info I found out after speaking with Valerie in the admis office. I was glad to hear her say those things, but I want to know now! It has been 7 weeks.

I think someone else should call and ask when letters will be sent this week. Valerie mentioned mid-week, but it would be really nice to know exactly when.

Taking deep breaths and trying to maintain 'positive vibrations'...

Okay, as promised, I called. A woman said that "some acceptances went out today," so I guess give it a few days to a week to reach your mailboxes... Good luck all!

Good luck souljah, Incedinary, Constantly Waiting and everyone else!!! Don't worry about mail--I got my acceptance 6 days (!!) after it was mailed, and I live in the city!! I'm crossing my fingers for you!!!!!!!!!

I just interviewed today, 3/21....so its gonna be a while before I find out. But my interview went Really well, so i'm happy, hopefully it leads to some goood news.

I check my mailbox everyday hoping and praying that my dreams will come true. Sometimes I check it before work AND after. Like somehow there is some rogue group of postmen who only deliver my mail after I'm gone.
On a positive note, all my bills have been paid on time this month

No one got any mail yet? Well perhaps today will bring with it some phat envelopes. If I am in this batch, I have a few more days to wait (NYC). I hope some of you get the good news today!
