Does anybody have thoughts about these 2 prelim IM programs? Any info would be appreciated. Here are some of my quick thoughts:
UCSF Fresno
Pros - A program on the rise...new facilities in the near future, new faculty, etc. Residents very nice and seem to enjoy the program.
Cons - Location...although some people may not mind Fresno, program seems a bit disorganized, current facilities are pretty old
Kaiser Santa Clara
Pros - No overnight call...even on ICU. Location. Good ancillary staff. New outpatient center and hospital (hospital to open in Spring of '07). Most patients have PCP since they are already in the Kaiser system.
Cons - None that would really bother me for the year that I would be there.
