UCSF hold letter 2006

I know this has been discussed in years gone by, but has anyone else received the UCSF hold letter? Is there any new information regarding what the letter means and how to get oneself off the list and into an interview?

I originally thought I received the letter because I was out-of-state and an August MCAT-er, but now I'm thinking otherwise. Any input and/or shared frustration would be greatly appreciated.

I'm an instater and took the april mcat. All I have to offer is shared fustration! Getting an interview is still very possible!
