UCSF med school acceptance letter??

Does anyone who interviewed for UCSF MSTP know if you have to receive an acceptance letter from the med school before you can get acceptance into MSTP? I vaguely remember them saying this, but I'm not really sure. Do they send a letter before March about med school acceptance or do you just have to wait to hear about both?

Hey Cadilakgrl,

The MD committe makes their decision separate from the MSTP committe. As a result, you should not get a rejection letter from the med school part of things. You may either get an acceptance letter or a high-priority waiting list letter from the med school and either of those will still keep you in the game. The med school letter is supposed to go out in about a month from the time you interviewed, but there may be some delays.
