Hello,

UCSF is my first choice school! Anyway, I had an interview there 10/16/02. My clinical interviewer told me that the committee would meet on my application around 11/05. Since I haven't heard anything from UCSF so far, does this mean I am either rejected or placed on "high priority?" I understand that "high priortty" is basically a waitlist. According to the UCSF website, people on high priority don't get status changes until after May 15th, and they first get put into the alternate list.

oh.... so since I didn't get a 12/15 acceptance, is it STILL possible that I could be accepted January 15th or thereafter without being put on "high priority?"

Thanks for shedding some light, anybody!🙂

If you haven't heard anything, it's likely that they haven't reviewed your application at the committee yet. They only meet 1x per month, and if they do review you and haven't decided yet, you will get a "hold" status notification until after they have reviewed every interviewee and know how many spots they still have available. People on hold get notified of acceptance; high priority; middle priority; reject in late may.

There are some people in my class who heard nothing from the ad com for several months after they thought they should be notified. The longest I know of was 6 months following the interview, but he got in, so the wait was worth it.
