Is it true that the uniform services in betheseda have a cutoff.(GPA and MCAT)? If true, what is the percent or number of people that get interviews? Does anyone have any idea? I know this forum is a fantastic source of info. Please whoever has anu info, please drop for all to know. Thanks greatly to all kind and sincere people out there.

I don't think they have definite gpa & mcat cutoffs even though they screen. If you take a look at mdapplicants.com, you will see that people with a range of mcat scores & gpas have been interviewed. At any rate, I got a secondary invite and my stats aren't so hot....

BTW, it is USUHS (Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences). I've gotten the impression they're trying to get people to call them USU more and more.

their recommendations list is crazy. a clinical letter. ugh. i hate NYMC's LOR requirements even more. somehow chemical engineering is not science faculty. i know amcas does not rate engineering as science but....come on....oh funny thing is that my class was actually cross referenced with a biology course...so in fact it was a biology course.....just had to vent

I've taken the attitude that, if a school wants to be persnickety about LORs, then I'll be persnickety about paying them the additional secondary fee. 🙂

yes. yes. I know that USUHS doesn't have one. I'm talking about YOU, Penn State! 😀

ugh. well i dont know how i am going to scramble to get my NYMC letters....darn.
