I dunno the numbers, but a little more than a handful do live in the dorms. Many more live off-campus... The neighborhood has nuances, so I would suggest coming to town to see where you'd like to live. Depends on how much of a commute you want. Many people actually move to the 'hood for the first year, and then realize that they don't attend class, or don't care about the commute, so they move to Lincoln Park or Wrigleyville.
