I've got an interview at UIC. Would it be better to fly into O'Hare or Midway and how can I get to a hotel near the interview site (1853 W. Polk St) from the airport.

I plan to take a cab after the interview to the Amtrak (to go downstate), seems that's only a few miles away.

    Thanks all, in advance!

Both O'Hare and Midway are viable airports - I would say that they are nearly equidistant from UIC. I have flown in and out of both with no problems. As for hotels, there are none within walking distance of the med school. There are LOTS downtown, but you'll have to take a cab to your interview and back (or the bus, but I'd just cab it - it'll be cheap, around 6-8 bucks each way). Here's a link that might be of use. Best of luck on the interview.

Thanks! I just got back from DC also, interviewed at USUHS, doing SIU on the 15th.

    Thanks again!
