Sorry to bother you guys, but my Aunt lost my interview invite and I have my interview on wednesday. Can anyone tell me what important information I need to get to my interview? Thanks.

By the way, it is the Peoria campus.

I have my interview info. Youre supposed to report to the Office of Student Services
at 1 Illini Drive in Peoria. The PM session begins at 1PM...not sure about the AM session. Its a very short process...brief 15 minute intoduction, maybe another 20-30 minutes for a student lead tour of the facilities (aka the one building the size of my jr high school that houses the 'medical college'), and your interview. You can leave after your interview is done, so some people were actually out of there before 3PM.

There is 1 panel interview: 2 faculty members and 1 med student and you. They have only seen your personal statements...so expect some questions taken directly from there. Also, make sure you have crap to say about how wonderful Peoria is...I didnt and it really hurt me in the end.

Overall, I'd say the Peoria interview experience isnt very impressive...but such is life. Good luck!

What good could I say about Peoria?

Peoria is yet another chance to become a doctor. I say, if the site is not that great, stress the community and your desire to live in Peoria and help contribute to the health care processes of the surrounding neighborhoods (at least during your 4 years at UIC). You gotta remember that these people work and live in Peoria, so don't say that you are just interviewing here and just want to be in chicago- it will probably hurt your chances. I haven't been to Peoria, but it can't be that bad of a place.

good luck
