I was wondering if anyone out there who interviewed in December at UIC (University of Illinois at Chicago) has heard anything about their application.

I've heard that UIC typically meets the third Thursday of each month to make a decision on their applicants. Since the third Thursday was yesterday, Dec. 19, all December interviewees should be hearing something soon.

From what I understand, people who are waitlisted will be getting an email message indicating their waitlist status, whereas people who get in or are rejected will get snail mail.

So please post once you hear something. Hopefully, all of us sdners will be posting some good news in the next few days 😉

Hey maestro, welcome to SDN. I interviewed at UIC on the 13th and Dr. Girotti, the director of admissions, said that they try to send out notice very quickly after the committee meets. He told our group that we could possibly get a "stocking stuffer" in the mail before Christmas. If he's right, then we should expect to hear something next week hopefully. Let me know when you hear something.

Thanks for the info SolidGold. What's funny is that Dr. Girotti said the exact same thing about the "stocking stuffer" when I interviewed on December 5!

my interview was on november 20 but i haven't heard anything from them yet. please let me know if any of you hear anything. thanks
