I got the invitation about an hour ago -- totally sweet. Anyone else?

Awesome! Congrats! U. of Iowa is an awesome school... Applying out of state, I don't know what my chances are, but Carver is toward the top of my list. Good luck at your interview!

Finished secondary on 7/25. Complete on 8/04 I think.

I go to Grinnell but live in Illinois, and Iowa is on my ever changing list of schools I plan to apply to next year, but I'm not sure what their residency policy is: I want to know if Iowa is one of those schools that rarely takes out-of-state people, or if they take in state people and people with strong ties to the state, or if they really don't care that much about residency. If anyone knows I'll be forever grateful

72% of marticulates are in-state.

Hope that helps!

There is also lots of movement on the waitlist...i started ~#60 on the out-of-state waitlist and was accepted.

The downfall, you can't qualify for in-state tuition....unless you've lived there previously for one whole year (not attending more than half time).
