UM Secondary App Question

Hi guys, in the secondary for UM it says to list Journalism activities (activities where you've served as a writer or editor).
These activities are supposed to be non-health/non-science related. This summer I was in a research program and I was required to write an article at the end but since it was scientific research, I don't know whether to put it or not. Should I leave it blank?
