Hi Folks,
I had a similar problem with UMass--my AMCAS was submitted 8/16 and verified 9/24, but UMass claimed not to have my verified AMCAS until the end of November.
This is how it happened--I was nervous because I never got their notification saying that they had everything they needed to review my application. So I emailed them. They emailed back saying they would send me another message when they received my verified AMCAS. Two weeks later, I emailed them again. By the afternoon I had received both an email telling me that my verified AMCAS had been received several weeks before AND an interview invitation. My guess is that, yes, they have your verified AMCAS apps, but that the channels of communication from the download to the email are not direct. Furthermore, I think they probably prescreen intensely (post-secondary app receipt), so that when they realize that they actually have the verified AMCAS, they are already pretty sure of what their next steps for you will be.
I would email the admissions office today and next Monday and next Friday and the following Tuesday, etc, until you get a response.
I heard that UMass had many problems with AMCAS to the point where they were not told that they were supposed to download our verified apps from the AMCAS site, which would explain some of the hold up...
Good luck and don't worry! Persistence is the key in many of these post-wed-based-AMCAS situations.
